• In view of the increasing importance of internationalization, starting in 1993 OEP established overseas subsidiaries in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, and the Philippines. In 2006 OEP entered the Chinese market with sales offices in Shanghai and Guangzhou.2011 OEP established a sales office in Vietnam for developing local market.
Philippines
Orient Europharma Philippines Inc (OEPP) is the biggest subsidiary of OEP. It was founded in 2003 after OEP acquired the local subsidiary of Elan Pharma, an Irish company. Within a span of 8 years, OEPP has grown significantly and ranked 24th in the Philippine Pharmaceutical Market in 2010.
OEPP endeavors to provide the affordable innovative, new chemical entity to the market, and cost-effective branded generics of newly off-patent originals to meet the medical needs. The marketed products mainly focus on the treatment in cardiovascular filed for hypertension, anti-anginas, respiratory for Asthma, COPD, metabolic for diabetes mellitus and hyper-lipidemia, and anti-infective for infection.
On top of that, OEPP will continue seeking for business partners to provide high quality products to enrich the portfolios and further expand into those unmet demand markets in oncology, and neurology fields.

Singapore
Established in 1993, OE Singapore (OES) focuses in the sales and market development of specialty pharmaceuticals and nutritionals. We build our strength in various therapeutic areas: Oncology,O&G, Urology and primary care.
Our pharmaceutical range includes Navelbine®, an established treatment for non-small cell lung cancer and metastatic breast cancer; Androgel®, a non-invasive gel therapy for testosterone deficiency; Permixon® for the treatment of beneign prostate hyperplasia.
Karihome® goat milk, our key nutritional brand, serves the nutritional needs of children and adults. As of the fourth quarter of 2007, the distribution of Karihome® was handled by a local company. Aside from expanding sales channels and product lines for the Karihome ®series. We continue to build the brand through numerous activites.
Hong Kong
OE extended its representation to Hong Kong (Orient Europharma Hong Kong was formed - OEH) in 2001 with the introduction of PFM’s Navelbine® Injection. This 3rd generation oncology treatment for lung and breast cancer is well received by both private and public oncologists. Navelbine® Injection is listed by the Hospital Authority. OEH introduced Navelbine® Oral in March 2008 to strengthen its market share in chemotherapy. Navelbine® Oral is well tolerated and provides convenience, less side-effects and better compliance to the patients – a welcome development for both caregivers and patients.
OEH set up her Nutricare Division in 2007 to launch the complete range of Karihome® goat milk products in Hong Kong. With intense promotional activities and advertising through the years, Karihome® has been recognized as the market leader in goat milk formulae for the last 5 years. Nutricare Division is now ready to launch additional new nutritional products to the market.
In the 4th quarter of 2010, OEH has reached an agreement with UCB- Belgium to market and launch her specialty products in Hong Kong. Neupro®, an innovative dopamine agonist patch, for Parkinson Disease is being actively promoted by OEH since October, 2010. Other innovative products, Vimpat® (for Epilepsy treatment) and Cimzia® (for Rheumatoid Arthritis) will be introduced to Hong Kong soon.
Business development plan for OEH is undergoing evaluation; OEH is planning forward to expand its present business scope into OTC market and further extent its market share in other therapeutic and nutritional areas.
Malaysia
Established in 1997, OE Malaysia’s (OEM) main product lines include Navelbine® Injection and Navelbine® Oral, as well as calcium antagonist Zanidip® for the treatment of hypertension. In 2008, OE’s own diabetes treatment drug Glymet®, acne cream Zindaclin® were also introduced in the market.. The Karihome® goat milk product series started to market in Malaysia since 2005, currently Karihome® is the leading goat milk brand.
OEM plans to introduce a new series of Karihome® products, as well as prescription medicines: anti-asthma, anti-fungal, Urology specialty products, and cardiovascular drugs in the next two to three years.
Mainland China
In January 2008, OE launched its Karihome® product line – Taiwan’s leading brand of goat milk – into China. OE China’s (OEC) primary focus is in southern China, with future plans to expand into other regions.
OEC expanded its distribution network into Wuhan, Harbin, Dalian and Zhengzhou in the fourth quarter of 2008, and successfully launched in Changsha, Nanning, Hainan and Fuzhou in the first quarter of 2009. OEC further aims to launch Karihome® goat milk powder products in eastern China by the end of 2009.
